Let Them Vote: Restoring Trust in Our Democracy

In every generation, there comes a moment when the people must rise and remind those in power who truly holds it. That moment is now.

Across North Carolina and right here in Fayetteville, too many citizens feel silenced by systems designed to confuse, divide, or discourage them from participating. Whether it’s complicated voter ID laws, long lines, or misinformation campaigns—these barriers strike at the heart of democracy. But here’s the truth: the vote belongs to the people, not to politicians.

As a U.S. Army Combat Veteran, I’ve fought for freedom abroad. Now, I’m fighting for it at home. Because every time someone is turned away at the polls, our democracy weakens. Every time a working parent can’t get time off to vote, we lose a piece of what makes this country great. And every time someone says their voice doesn’t matter—we must remind them that it does.

The right to vote isn’t about party lines—it’s about accountability. It’s about ensuring that those who govern are truly serving the people who put them there. That’s why my campaign believes in making voting easier, not harder. We’re educating voters on registration, ID requirements, early voting sites, and how to make their voices count—because informed voters build stronger communities.

When the people participate, we see real progress:

  • Safer neighborhoods because residents show up for local policy.

  • Cleaner water because citizens demand transparency.

  • Fair wages because voters choose leaders who prioritize working families.

So as we approach this election, remember: this is your city, your community, your voice.

Let them vote.
Let us all vote.

And let’s build a Fayetteville that truly represents every neighborhood, every family, and every future.

🗳️ Vote Kathy Greggs — Fayetteville City Council, District 7
